Opportunities to join our group
The Zimova Lab is moving to the University of Wyoming in January 2026 to join the Department of Zoology and Physiology. Prospective students and postdocs interested in Fall 2026 opportunities are welcome to contact Dr. Zimova to learn more.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students interested in gaining research experience with us should get in touch. Please email me a brief description of your research interests, why you want to join our lab, and your CV. There are multiple ways students can become involved with our research, but commonly start as volunteers. After demonstrating deep interest and good work ethic, motivated students are often invited to register for research/internship credit, honors thesis or a paid position.
Graduate Students
I’m always interested in hearing from prospective PhD and MS students. Ideal candidates have prior research experience, strong writing skills, and a clear interest in ecology, evolution, and or conservation biology. If you are interested in joining the lab, please review the available positions below. You are also welcome to email me directly. Your email should include a clear description of your research interests and how they align with the work in the lab and your CV. I am also happy to work with prospective students on developing project ideas for fellowships such as the NSF GRFP and happy to assist them with application preparation.
